Maribel

Patient Coordinator/ Office Manager

I have been with Dr. Matsumoto since 2014. I started working as a temp. He hired me full-time in January 2015. I am the practice administrator/patient coordinator. I run the day-to -day operations. I am cross-trained in infection control, taking radiographs, and scanning. I am also the insurance and treatment plan coordinator. 

My husband, who is my high school sweetheart, and I have been married for 22 years. We have 3 kids a 21 year old, an 18 year old and a 12 year old, and we can't forget about our 2 furry havanese puppies Jorgie is 2 and Raider is 7 months. 

In my spare time, I enjoy doing puzzles, baking/cooking with my kids and taking morning walks. A favorite pastime of mine is having an everyday conversation with family/friends. One reason I enjoy working here is that both the patients and staff are very friendly, which makes the communication so much easier!

Dental Assistant - Infection Control/Sterilization Coordinator

I have been an assistant at Dr. Matsumoto's for 17 years. I enjoy working with adults as well as children. I love listening to their stories and learning from them. I am certified in Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure sealants. I am trained in the ZOOM Whitening procedure and I am also the infection control/sterilization coordinator for the office.

I have 3 children Ericka, Gabriela and Ulysses, and 1 granddaughter Issa, I can't forget about my little dog that is 11 years old a native from Mexico, Burbujas is her name. I enjoy taking my youngest Ulysses to his soccer practices and games. I like going to the gym 4x's a week and doing my team training classes. During my alone time I love reading nonfiction and mystery novels. 

We, the staff work well together. It does not seem like work. Besides being co-workers, we are friends. It helps that we have a great boss.

Dental Assistant

I have been working with Dr. Matsumoto as his assistant since 2019. I enjoy assisting because I am able to build patient relationships and improve their oral health all together. The one-on-one interaction allows me to enhance my skills and provide patients with a feeling of comfort. I am certified in Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure Sealants and I am trained in the ZOOM Whitening procedure. I have also been cross trained in managing the front desk as well. 

Outside work, I enjoy being surrounded by nature as well as alone time. I enjoy doing interior designing in my spare time. I like being surrounded by positive vibes and people that will help me grow in life. My favorite person is my little brother Maelo. 

Our office provides a harmonious working environment. We get along well and work in sync. Dr. Matsumoto is a team player who always makes an effort to help us.

Dental Hygienist

I first temped here in 2012 and have done so many times over the years. I have been here permanently since 2018. I oversee dental charting entries and am certified in Laser Level 1 procedures. 

I started working as a dental assistant when I was 15 years old. As as teenager I learned a lot about dentistry and knew I wanted to be a dental hygienist. I love educating patients and seeing the improvement in their oral health. I also enjoy my patients, forming relationships with them and learning about their lives.
 
I have been with my husband Rey for 24 years, married for 11 years. We have 3 kids. My stepdaughter is 26 years old, son is 11 years old, and daughter is 5 years old. Our granddaughters are 7 years old and 4 years old. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy our yearly trip to Puerto Rico to spend time with family. I am also learning to love my new elliptical. 

The office is great! I enjoy working here. We have a great office environment and great patients. Everyone works well together in the office. They are like my second family.
